On Becoming a Good Ancestor
-An Exploration of Hebrews 11

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Indeed, by faith our ancestors received approval.” - Hebrews 11:1-2

In the interest of thinking “ancestrally” about our faith, we are going to use chapter 11 of the letter to the Hebrews as a guide. We will consider the stories from the Hebrew Bible that the author of Hebrews lifts up as examples for his audience of people who walked faithfully with God. Hopefully their stories will inform our own.
