Basis for Forgiveness
Basis for Forgiveness
We continue our journey through Jesus’ teaching in Matthew’s gospel, learning more about what it means to exalt Him as Messiah. And it doesn't mean what we want it to... It doesn't mean we get to be right, or powerful, or free from having to grow. In fact, it means the opposite; following Christ means daily humbling ourselves as we re-orient towards real truth and authentic love. Fortunately for us, exalting Jesus as Christ also forms a powerful basis for forgiveness, one which provides us the necessary freedom and grace to endure such transformation.
